BayFirst Reaches $50 Million Minority-Owned Business Lending Goal

August 31, 2021

In late 2020, we announced the launch of our Minority Owned Business Lending Program (MOBLP) and set an ambitious lending goal of $50 million by 2023 – all part of our commitment to addressing the financial challenges facing minority-owned small businesses and combating the inequalities that exist in the lending world.

Just 10 months later, we have surpassed this goal and are currently working to expand our minority lending program and goal, with plans for the program to extend beyond SBA and commercial lending to also include residential and consumer loans to further increase the program’s impact on minority populations throughout the Tampa Bay region.

We are proud of the work we have accomplished and look forward to the work in the future that will continue to help minority and women-owned businesses like The Broom Closet.
